 Sustainability Forum Sofia – More Тhan Green

It is our pleasure to announce that the international forum in Sofia was attended by over 170 participants who got together to discuss sustainable development topics in four panels which focused on  Bulgaria’s Future in the context of EU’s Sustainable Development Policy, Buildings and Urban Development, Facility Managementand Sustainable Technologies.

The event, part of the World Green Buidling Week, was opened by a welcome speech by the president of the Bulgarian Green Building Council arch. Georgi Kolarov. Among keynote guests were European Commissioner Kristalina Georgieva, Minister Tomislav Donchev, Ms Tzvetelina Borislavova, Deputy Minister Evgeni Angelov, H.E. Matthias Höpfner- Germany's ambassador to Bulgaria, Johannes Kreissig,Member of Board of Directors - World Green Building Council (WGBC) and Prof.AlexanderRudolphi,member of Board of Director, German Green Building Council (DGNB).

For the first time in BG certificates for DGNB certified projects were awarded in an official ceremony which took place at the Hilton Hotel, Sofia. The BGBC commends the investment companies who clearly stated their commitment to the establishment of a sustainable built environment by certifying their projects.

We are also grateful to the participants in the seminar Introduction into DGNB which was held on the second day of the conference.
